Beginners Guide to Unix - part 4 -  Editing files with the vi editor part 2

On this page I will give you links to really good tutorial pages and cheat sheets for the inbuilt unix editors called vi(short for visual editor).

I was going to write a tutorial on vi, but there are some good ones out there so it seems a little silly to duplicate others work.

These links are working as at 2012-08-23 please let me know if any are failing when you try them.

it may take you a while to get used to vi but its on every unix system including Apples and there are ported versions for Windows PC's so is really a very useful editor to know even though its not the prettiest.
